Visit our cozy cottage vacation rental in the tiny, historic mountain town of Albion, Idaho.

Old Albion Cottage

I was raised in gorgeous Southern Idaho. My parents were born here. My grandparents were born here. When my dad passed away in 2012, he generously passed this beloved cottage on because he knew that the Sawtooth Mountains are magic to me.

From there we turned it into our perfect, yummy Idaho farm cottage in my favorite tiny mountain town where everybody waves hello and deer and wild turkey roam the yard. Now we want to share it with you!

If you long for a getaway from your busy life, you’ve found your paradise. Built in 1925, we redesigned this little school marm’s cottage to be our home away from home. Perfect for romance or family adventure, this historic pioneer town on the California Trail offers amazing gold rush history among majestic wilderness landscapes..

Driving in from the Twin Falls airport 45 miles away, you’ll experience the beautiful farmland drive that I loved as a child. Cows, pickup trucks, and homemade cobbler means Southern Idaho to me.

As you drive up the State Hwy 77 grade, you’ll smell sagebrush and pine as the crisp mountain air fills your lungs. Our little yellow cottage that sleeps six is nestled in the middle of Albion with only 200 residents. Starting at only $150 a night on AirBnB, we’ve outfitted the cottage with everything you need for convenience and comfort. Doggos welcome! I promise you that this isn’t just a comfy cabin rental – IT’S AN EXPERIENCE!

Beautiful Albion, Idaho

Albion is a seriously sleepy little town. Our favorite thing is to take lazy walks through town with our pups and stop in for pizza and wings at One Punch Pizza down the road..

During the day, explore the stunningly lush Sawtooth mountains with six crystal alpine lakes in the region. Soak your feet in Bennett Springs in the summer, marvel at the vibrant aspen leaves in autumn, and ski in the best fresh powder in the state at Pomerelle Mountain Ski Resort in the winter.

Thirty miles from the cottage is the famous City of Rocks National Reserve, where pioneers stopped their covered wagons to write their names in axle grease on the majestic granite rocks and outdoorsmen have long enjoyed rock climbing, hiking, fishing, hunting, and camping. Enjoy a late morning kayak in the famous Snake River Canyon, a picnic lunch on the shore of glistening Lake Cleveland, or a sunset drive viewing old barns among fields of potatoes, corn, and grain.

Autumn is a particularly popular time due to the Cassia County harvest activities, adorable Burley Straw Maze, and epic haunted houses of Haunted Mansions of Idaho down the road.

Seriously the perfect vacation for families with kids or a romantic couples retreat where you can explore unencumbered. No matter the season, the quiet, starlit streets of tiny Albion will seep into your spirit and become the escape you crave during stolen quiet moments. Still relatively undiscovered, Albion reminds us of simpler, friendlier times.

Relax on the 2 twin-sized Casper mattress beds nestled against the windows and drift off with the remote quiet only Albion, Idaho offers.

Albion wasn’t on our radar, but we picked it for a short getaway because the Old Albion Cottage looked so incredibly welcoming and comfortable. And so it was! We had great fun exploring the nearby national forests, marveling at the dark sky, and hanging out and playing games at the cottage. This was our first Airbnb stay where the Airbnb was *the* destination, and we definitely picked a good one. We would love to come back!”
